Happy October, Mamas!
Fall is such a wonderful season and now that it is officially upon us, it's finally time for sweater weather, pumpkin spiced lattes and curling up under knit blankets with your little ones.
One of the best things about fall is the fashion, since the cooler weather provides endless opportunities for putting together cozy outfits and having fun with layering.
It gets even better when you and your kid get to feel comfy and go out on a fall adventure in cute, matching fits.
We put together some examples of stylish mamas rocking mommy and me looks that incorporate all the necessary fall essentials and can give you some great outfit inspiration.
When you think of fall fashion, the first thing that comes to mind is chunky sweaters. This nature pattern is perfect for the season of changing leaves and we love how Savannah Spalding aka @savspald paired them with some knit hats and flared jeans.
This outfit by @straightastyle on Instagram incorporates a bunch of fall must haves. Wellington boots are perfect for keeping your kid's and your own feet dry. That way even a bit of rain won't keep you from going on a pumpkin patch adventure. They also look great with A-line skirts and work so well with the warm color palette of the rest of the look.
As soon as October 1st hits, it's completely justified to bust out the Halloween decorations and get in the mood for spooky season. It's high time to decide what your children and you are going to be for Halloween and start stacking up on creepy snacks for trick or treating. If you love Halloween as much as we do, these matching spooky, scary skeleton pyjamas styled by Jade aka @jscott24 on Instagram will be right up your alley. What better way to get comfy for a night of family friendly scary movies?
Flannels are another fall essential and great for layering. Cherish @cherish.larsen and her daughter are looking absolutely adorable in their plaid shirts.
Dungarees are perfect for early fall since they are so easy to style with both summer to fall transition, as well as warmer outfits. Just pair them with a thin shirt for when it's still warm enough or switch the short sleeves for a proper knit sweater. Add some tights, cute boots and a hat for some added warmth and you're good to go! Stephanie aka @the.davis.diaries is a perfect example of how it's done!
Let us know which of these outfits is your favorite and happy dressing up mamas!
