Travel Tips for parents

If you're planning to travel this summer, whether, by road, air, or cruise, it's important to be prepared. By doing so, you can increase the chances of having a stress-free trip and enjoying yourself to the fullest. Remember to focus on creating good memories and having a positive attitude. By planning ahead, you'll be able to make the most out of your trip.

Useful tips to prepare for a road trip:

  • - Fill up your gas tank or charge your car before you leave.

  • - Check your car's condition, including the tires, A/C, and other essentials.

  • - Clean your car beforehand for a more comfortable drive.

  • - Organize your belongings: store immediate-use items in the second row of the car, and non-essential items in the back or trunk.

  • - Keep hand sanitizer and wipes within reach to keep things clean.

  • - Bring perishable snacks in a cooler with ice, and non-perishable snacks in a clear Ziploc bag.

  • - Bring extra water to stay hydrated.

  • - Don't forget to bring the necessary medications.

  • - Keep some cash in the glove compartment just in case.

  • - Pack a few items for children's entertainment to make the trip more enjoyable.

Here are some tips for hassle-free air travel with kids:

  • - Consider applying for TSA pre-check to save time and avoid long lines.

  • - Check in online and know your airline's baggage weight and size restrictions.

  • - Pack snacks and a reusable water bottle to avoid expensive airport purchases.

  • - Remember to pack essential medications like pain relievers and allergy medicine.

  • - Don't forget phone chargers, earphones, and favourite books or toys for the kids.

  • - Consider bringing a hoodie or light jacket for the airplane, which can get chilly.

  • - Pack a lollipop for takeoff and landing to help soothe ear popping.

  • - Plan seating arrangements in advance, especially if you can't sit together.

  • - For short layovers, grab food from the airport and enjoy it on the flight.
